CENTAC JET Exam is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. It is popularly known as the Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test. Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is organized for admission into the first year of BTech, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPharm, BSc (Nursing), BPT and BSc (MLT) degree courses offered at the various government sponsored colleges.

Examination Pattern

CENTAC JET exam comprises of objective type multiple choices, and questions are based in the following grounds - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany). Candidates appear in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred field.

Reservation of seats under various categories is as follows: 16% for SC candidates, 33% (20%+13%) for OBC (Other Backward Class) + MBC (Most Backward Class), 4% for Children / Grand Children of Freedom Fighter, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 1/3+% for Wards of Ex-Servicemen and 1% for sportsman/woman.

Syllabus

Candidate appearing for the CENTAC JET entrance test have to prepare in the following grounds - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany). However, candidates will prepare in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred filed.
