Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Jammu and Kashmir (J & K) conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET), for selecting students for admission into the B Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and MCA, and M Sc IT progarmme, offered in its affiliated colleges /institutes. The university, which was established by an Act of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly in 2002, is one of the renowned educational institutions of the state.

Eligibility

B Tech – Minimum qualification required is that the candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / Intermediate / 10+2 level of examination from a recognized Board, with the Science subjects.

MCA / M Sc – Minimum qualification required is that a candidate must have bachelor’s degree (with Mathematics as 10+2 level or Graduation level for MCA) in the relevant field from a recognized University.

Examination Pattern

Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University J & K CET question papers comprise of objective-type and multiple choice answers. There would be two papers of objective type questions, each paper comprising of 75 questions.One paper will comprise of questions from the subjects Physics & Chemistry, while the other comprise of questions on Mathematics.
