The college, situated across 25 acres of land, has got the approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal and Devi Ahilya Vishvavidhayalaya, Indore, Swami Vivekanand College of Engineering is recognized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
BE / B Tech
The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, from a recognized Board. He/She should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects of study at the 10+2 level.
Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech
The applicant should have done BE/B. Tech in respective field, from a recognized university.
MCA
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline, from any recognized University. In addition, he/she should have studied mathematics as compulsory or additional subject at 10+2 or at graduation level.
MBA
The applicant should be a graduate in any disciplines, from any recognized University.

Admissions are done on the basis of the candidate’s scores in state-level Professional Examination Test - PET conducted every year by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal) Bhopal.

Selection is as per the applicant’s GATE scores.
MBA
The candidates are selected on the basis their performance in MET, which is a joint entrance Examination, conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (VYAPAM), Professional Examination Board (PEB) Madhya Pradesh.
MCA
Selection is done on the basis of scores obtained in joint entrance Examination, Pre-MCA test conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (VYAPAM), Professional Examination Board (PEB), and Madhya Pradesh.
