Located in Mumbai, Smt. Kapila Khandvala College of Education started imparting comprehensive education to the aspirants in 1962 under the name of The Sadhana School of Educational Research and Training. In 1970, the college was renamed as The Sadhana School of Education, later in 1972; it was rechristened to its current name Smt. Kapila Khandvala College of Education. The educational institution is affiliated to Mumbai University and is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal to Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course.
Extended over an area 13,000 sq.ft, Smt. Kapila Khandwala College of Education holds the distinction of being accredited by NAAC as ‘A’ grade institution. It is working under the aegis of Sadhana Education Society. The educational institution has a provision of conducting Ph. D as well. The college is also a centre of University of Mumbai for M. A in Education course and a Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) centre for M. Phil programme.
