S I M S College of Nursing is situated in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1978 and is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The college is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. S I M S College of Nursing offers Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) course of 1½ years duration, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course of 3½ years duration and B.Sc Nursing course of 4 years duration. These courses include 6 months of internship, in which students develop their nursing skills.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in science stream or Intermediate Vocational (Nursing or MPHW) or Inter, with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences and should have secured minimum aggregate of 45% marks. In case of SC, ST categories, 5% relaxation is allowed. Candidates should have completed 17 years age and should not have exceeded 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.

Applicants should have passed 10th from any recognized board.
For GNM:
Applicants, who have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum aggregate of 40% from any recognized Board, are eligible to apply for the course. Candidate must be of 17 years to 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission.
