Rayat Institute of Engineering & Information Technology, popularly known as (RIEIT), was established under Rayat-Bahra Group. The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The B Tech and M Tech courses conducted by the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE), New Delhi. The college boasts of providing world-class facilities to its students.
Rayat-Bahra Group, which runs Rayat Institute of Engineering & Technology, is one of the established names in the field of higher education in India. Apart from RIEIT, the Group has set up a number of institutions, which cater to the varying needs of the young aspirants. Within seven years, the Group has established colleges that offer degree and diploma courses at different levels, in various disciplines including management, pharmacy, elementary education, hotel management etc.

The eligible candidates should have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam in Physics, Mathematics as compulsory and any one out of Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology as optional subjects from any recognized board.
Post Graduate:
For M Tech, the eligible candidates should have passed graduation in respective field.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions are done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by State Government through PTU and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted at the Central level.

Post Graduate:
Admissions are done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
