Rangaraya Medical College, which is located in Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), was set up in 1958. The college was established through the Medical Education Society but in 1977 and the charge was later taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In 1981, Rangaraya Medical College became a Government-run educational institution.
Rangaraya Medical College has been one of the top medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.
