North Bengal Medical College is among the prominent government-run institutes in the state of West Bengal. Located in Darjeeling (West Bengal), North Bengal Medical College started functioning in 1968. It is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Government of India, New Delhi, and affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
The college is also one of the prominent medical colleges in the country. North Bengal Medical College Darjeeling conducts courses in the field of medical sciences, at the undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (Degree, Diploma) level. It enrolls every year 100 students for UG course and 31 students for PG programmes.
