National Institute of Immunology (NII) Delhi is an autonomous institution, in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology - Government of India. The institution is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. In the institute, more than thirty independent research groups are working in a broad range of modern biological disciplines.
NII Delhi works with a motive to advance research in the field of immunology and to provide the society an internationally competitive array of professionals. For the purpose, it provides courses in the life sciences at the Doctoral level. It also provides several modern facilities to its students for learning in adequate environment.

To get admission in this program, the aspirants need to have passed M.Sc. or equivalent, or M. Tech. or MBBS or M. V. Sc. or M. Pharm. or equivalent qualification, recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, with minimum 60% of aggregate marks in all major examinations.

The selection of the aspirants is on the basis of a national competitive written examination. An interview is conducted of the short listed candidates, who have done well in the entrance examination.
