Located in Angul district of Orissa, Nabakrushna Choudhury College of Teachers Education was established in 1955 by the state govt of Orissa. Initially named as Teachers Training College, the College was given the dignified status of College of Teacher Education, Angul in 1988 as per the recommendations of National Policy on Education (NPE). The College affiliated to Utkal University is the second oldest College of Education in the state of Orissa. Nabakrushna Choudhury College of Teachers Education got its present name from the former chief Minister and great freedom fighter and outstanding social worker, Late Sri Nabakrushna Choudhury. Apart from the B. Ed and M.Ed Programme the college also offers short and long term training programmes for in-service teachers. The College has equipped itself with all the necessary infrastructural facilities.
