Maharajah's Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) is the first Teaching Hospital in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Rama Educational Trust has been sponsoring Maharaja's Institute of Medical Sciences. MIMS School of Nursing is affiliated to Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. This institute is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and the government of Andhra Pradesh. MIMS School of Nursing is aimed at promoting medical education and healthcare. Eligible candidates should have passed Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or intermediate Vocational Course in Multi Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) with minimum aggregate of 45%. In case of SC, ST categories 5% relaxation is allowed. Candidates should have completed 17 years age should not have completed 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission, for SC/ST candidates upper age limit relaxed by 3 years.
