Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology is located in Moga, Punjab. The college, which imparts technical education in various disciplines, was set up in 1998, under the supervision of Shiva Educational Trust. The institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, (PTU) Jalandhar. With the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Lala Lajpat Rai Institute of Engineering and Technology is currently offering undergraduate level programmes in four branches of engineering. The college also offers Master's degree in Computer Application (MCA), Business Administration (MBA) and Technology.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The applicants should have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Mathematics as compulsory and one out of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects.
Those applicants who have passed Diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal or such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education are also eligible.
For direct Entry to B Tech in second year the candidates should have done diploma in engineering and clear B Sc first year in non medical.
Post Graduate:
Admission to M Tech course is possible when the applicants fulfill the criteria of having Bachelors degree 55% marks in respective fields or subjects. For Thermal Engineering branch, the candidates with B Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Production Engineering / Manufacturing / Welding / Material Science Engineering / Metallurgy / AMIE or their any equivalent degree with 55% marks are eligible and for CSE applicants with B Tech degree in CSE / IT with 55% marks are eligible.
MCA
The eligible candidates should have passed bachelor degree with minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics / Business Statistics at 10+2 level.
Those applicants who have three year BCA degree from any recognized university are also eligible for admission.
MBA
The eligible candidates should have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions are done on the basis of CET / AIEEE merit. For Management quota seats, state-level-entrance test is conducted by the state government. Final selection is based on the entrance test score and marks secured in the qualifying examination.
For direct entry to second year the students will be selected on the basis of merit in Qualifying Examination by PTU, Jalandhar.
Entrance Test: Lateral Entry, AIEEE Exam, Punjab CET
Post Graduate:
Admissions for M Tech are done on the basis of GATE entrance examination.
For MBA admissions are done on the basis of Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
Admissions to MCA course is done on the merit basis in the qualifying examination or through an entrance test to be conducted by PTU, Jalandhar.
