Institute of Pharmacy in Jalpaiguri is one of the reputed and oldest institutions of pharmaceutical science in West Bengal. The college started its first academic session under the guidance of the state government, in 1949-1950. It is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri offers four years of B. Pharma and two years of D. Pharma course. In order to provide comprehensive education, the college is well equipped with all the mandatory facilities.

The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in science stream with 50% aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Mathematics taken together. For admission under lateral entry scheme the candidates are required to score minimum of 60% aggregate marks in D. Pharma.
Diploma:
The candidates with a pass in 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as mainstream subjects from a recognized Board are eligible.
