Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), located in Bhaddal, is one of the premier institutes for technical education in the state of Punjab. Affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, the college provides various courses at the both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Punjab have given their approval to IET Bhaddal, in order to conduct its courses.
Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Bhaddal came into being in 1997, when it was established by Kandi Friends Educational Trust, located in Mohali. The institute's first batch of students was enrolled into a temporary location in Mohali. Later on, the college was shifted to its present location. Spread over an area of 60 acres of land, IET Bhaddal ensures high standards in the education imparted by it and this is the reason why it provides excellent facilities to its students.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The eligible candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory and any one out of Chemistry / Biology / Bio-technology / Computer Science as optional subjects.
Those candidates who has passed Diploma in engineering trade from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh, or have a diploma / certificate course from SLIET, Longowal, or a similar qualification from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education are also eligible.
Post Graduate:
For M Tech, the eligible candidate should have passed graduation in respective field.
For MCA, the eligible candidates should have passed three year Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics or any Graduate with Mathematics at 10+2 or BCA or B Com with Business.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions are done on the merit basis in Common Entrance Test (CET) / All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Entrance Test: AIEEE Exam, Punjab CET
Post Graduate:
Admissions are done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
Admissions to MCA course is done on the merit basis in the qualifying examination or through an entrance test to be conducted by PTU, Jalandhar.
