IITT college of engineering is one of the prestigious private institutes for higher education in technical courses, in India. Incepted in 1997, it is managed and run by the IITT Society, in 1998. IITTCE Punjab is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. Presently, the college is offering engineering courses at graduate level and management courses at postgraduate level. The courses offered by the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Punjab.

The eligible candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in Physics, Mathematics and one subject out of Chemistry / Computer Science / Bio-Technology and Biology.
For direct entry to second year of B Tech the eligible candidate should have passed diploma or equivalent examination in Engineering from any recognized University/Board
Post Graduate:
The eligible candidates should have passed graduation in any stream from any recognized university/board.

Admissions are done on the basis of Combined Entrance Test (CET) conducted by PTU and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE.
Admissions to second year B Tech are done on the basis of Lateral Entry Entrance Examination.
