Government Pharmacy Institute Patna (Bihar) was established in 1958 by Health Department of the state government. The college is affiliated to Magadh University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Govt. Pharmacy Institute Patna is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and recognized by the state government. It offers Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) course of 2 years duration and Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) course of 4 years duration. The institute is aimed at catering to the increasing needs of health services, to handle drug control administration and to update the knowledge of pharmacy for education and research.
