Government Dental College Kozhikode/Calicut commenced its journey of imparting education in dental and oral health care in 1969, from a small department in Calicut Medical College. Gradually, the college expanded itself and developed into a full-fledged dental college, in 1981. It holds the distinction of being the second dental college of Kerala. Government Dental College Kozhikode is affiliated to University of Calicut and the courses offered by it are recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI).
Government Dental College Kozhikode offers education in variosu levels of dentistry. The dental college provides clinical facilities to its students, in order to provide them with in-depth knowledge and make them proficient dentists. Over the years, the college has provided numerous renowned and proficient doctors in the field of dental science to serve the state and nation, at large.
