Government Degree College, situated at Mandapeta, in East Godavari district, is a co-educational college run by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The college was established in the year 1990 to cater the need of quality higher education to the people of Mandapeta and its nearby areas. The candidates who have passed two year P U examination of Andhra P U Board or its equivalent in any subject are eligible for the B A/B Com courses in respective subjects. Those who have completed the same in Science subjects are eligible for the B Sc courses offered here.
