Gokhale Centenary College

Gokhale Centenary College is situated in Ankola in Karnataka. It was first college established by Dinakara Desai of Kanara Welfare Trust, in Uttar Kannad district. Founded in June 1966, which is the birth centenary year of Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Gokhale Centenary College is permanently affiliated to Karnatak University. The college was named after the very famous Indian freedom fighter - Shri Gopal Krishna Gokhale. Accredited by NAAC with B level, the educational institution caters to the need of higher education to the young backward classes of Ankola town and its outer areas. Gokhale Centenary College located at the national highway NH17, is spread over acres of sprawling campus area with all the modern facilities. The college offers undergraduate courses in various subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce faculties. Besides, it offers post graduate courses in arts subjects like Kannada and History in distant education mode under Kannada University Hampi.

The candidates passed in PUC Board examination of Karnataka and its equivalent recognized as 10+2 level in any subjects are eligible for the B A and B Com courses. Those who passed the same in science subjects are eligible for B Sc course.
