G I B Arts, Science and Commerce (GIBASC) College, located in Nippani, is one of the earliest colleges established in northern regions of Karnataka. Well-known Karnatak Lingayat Education Society (KLES) started this college in 1961, to satisfy the educational needs of the rural masses of Nippani and its adjoining areas. Affiliated to Karnatak University, GIB Arts, Science & Commerce College was named after renowned philanthropist Shri Ganapati Ishwar Bagewadi in 1966, considering his lump sum donation for the development of the college.
G I B Arts, Science and Commerce College is spread over eight acres of serene atmosphere and all modern infrastructures are included in the campus, to cater to the needs of the students. Recognized by both UGC and NAAC, the college imparts undergraduate courses in several subjects and combinations of Arts, Science and Commerce streams such as B A, B Sc, B Com, BC and BBA.

The candidates who have passed Pre University Examinations of Karnatak State P U Board or its equivalent recognized as 10+2 level in any subjects are eligible for B A, B Com, B C A and B B A courses. Those who have completed the same in science subjects are eligible for B Sc courses.
