Dr A V Baliga College of Commerce is located at the beach town of Kumta of Uttar Kannad district in Karnataka. Established in 1966, this grant-in-aid college has got UGC recognition after thirty years. It is one of the premiere educational institutions maintained by Kanara College Society with rural traditional values and modern outlook. Accredited with B+ level by NAAC, Dr A V Baliga Commerce College is affiliated to Karnatak University. The college has acquired 38 acres of land for its campus, which is surrounded by dense forests of Western Ghat. The college offers two undergraduates courses including B Com and BBA with optional subjects that include Costing, Taxation, Banking, Finance and Marketing.
