Undergraduate:
The eligible candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized university or board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Bio-technology / Computer Science as optional subject.
For admissions to the second year of B Tech course the applicants should have passed diploma in Engineering from Punjab State Board of Technical or any equivalent examination from any recognized State Board of Technical Education.
Post Graduate:
Graduation in relevant stream is mandatory to be eligible for this programme.

Admissions to B Tech are done on the merit basis of CET conducted by Punjab Technical University for 85% seats for state quota and for rest 15% admissions are done through AIEEE scheduled by CBSE.
For lateral entry admissions are done through Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET).

Post Graduate:
The admissions are done on the basis of candidates' marks in the qualifying examination.
