Chembai Memorial Government Music College, located in Palakkad district of Kerala, is a music institute, managed by the Government of Kerala. The college was founded in the year 1957 by Government Music Academy to produce great musical talent in and around Kerala. Later, in 1980, the Director of Collegiate Education took over the administrative charge of the college. The college is well-equipped with all necessary facilities within a nice and creative campus. Chembai Memorial Government Music College is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The college offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in various fields of classical vocal and instrumental music.

Candidates who have passed their 10+2 level examination from Kerala State Examination Board, or its equivalent, in any discipline are eligible for the various undergraduate courses in music.
Post Graduate:
Graduates in music subjects, recognized by the University of Calicut, with at least 45% marks in Part III main subject excluding subsidiary subjects are eligible to apply.

Admission of the selected candidates to BA courses is done on the basis of merit of the candidates in the aptitude test, conducted by the college itself.
Post Graduate:
Admission into MA courses is done on the basis of the merit in the aptitude test, conducted by the college.
