Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College is an institute for higher education in technical courses. It is located in Fatehgarh Sahib city of Punjab. The college was established in 1993 to impart quality technical education to the aspiring youth in the rural parts of the state. The college is managed by Baba Banda Singh Education Trust. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar.
With the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College offers technical courses that include various branches of engineering. At the post graduate level, the college conducts part time as well as full time courses. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The eligible candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as subjects.
For admissions to the second year of B Tech the eligible candidates should have passed diploma in Engineering from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or any recognized board/university.
Post Graduate:
The eligible candidate should have passed B Tech from PTU or its equivalent with 55% marks in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production/ Manufacturing/ Welding/ Material Science/ Metallurgy.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions are done on the merit basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
The 85% of Punjab State Quota are filled on the basis of CET and the 15% of other states quota are filled on the basis of AIEEE.
Admissions for the second year of B Tech course are done on the basis of Lateral Entry Engineering Test by the Punjab Technical University.
