Annai College of Engineering and Technology came into existence in 2009 under the auspices of Annai Group of Institutions and is situated at Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. The college is a self-financing institution, affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli and imparts All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, approved engineering courses at undergraduate level. Candidates who have attained 50% (General Category), 45% (Backward Category), 40% (Most Backward Category) and mere pass (SC/ST) with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) at 10+2 level examination from a recognized Board/College are eligible to apply. Those, who have passed any diploma with aggregate percentage of marks as mentioned above in the fifth/sixth semester, can apply directly into second year BE/B Tech courses through lateral entry scheme.
