Agartala Government Medical College is located in the campus of G B Pant Hospital in Agartala, Tripura. Established in 2004 with the name of ‘Govinda Ballabh Pant Hospital’, the college has evolved as one of the prominent institutions for higher education in the north-eastern part of the country. Affiliated to Tripura University, the college is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi.
Currently, Agartala Govt. Medical College offers undergraduate level course in medical science - MBBS. The college has the capacity to enroll as many as 100 students to the course, every academic year. With an aim to maintain high standards of education, the college has state-of-the-art infrastructure, with modern facilities including well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture theaters, computer facilities, and intercom facilities, Cafeteria, dissection facilities etc.
