Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination, which is also referred to as HSEE Entrance Exam, is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M). The entrance test is conducted online. IIT-M conducts the test for the admission in five-year integrated Masters' programs, at various test centers.
Eligibility
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has regularized a number of eligibility requirements for the candidates seeking their admission in its integrated postgraduate programs. The eligibility criteria for the entrance test are given below.
- The candidates, who are not above 25 years of age, are eligible to apply for the entrance test. There is a relaxation of 5 years for the SC/ST candidates.
- Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination under 10+2 patterns must have passed by the candidates, to be eligible for the test.
- The candidates should have obtained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- For the candidates of SC/ST categories, the minimum criterion is 55% in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- The candidates, who have appeared in the final year of qualifying examination and waiting for their results or those are appearing in the final year exam, are also eligible to apply for the HSEE Test.
