MD (Dermatology, Venerology & Leprosy) is a specialization course for MBBS doctors, which deals with the accurate diagnosis of skin conditions and all type of skin infections through Dermatotherapeutic and Dermatosurgical procedures. It is a three-year post graduate degree course in medical science. The candidates with MBBS degrees who have registered permanently with Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Councils are eligible for this MD course. The students are short listed on the basis of the merit in the entrance tests, such as AIPGMET/PGMEE/CMDPGEE. At the time of pursuing this course, the students get chance to work in the institution as well and after completion they can join any medical institution as faculty members or can run their own clinic/ research laboratory or work in any government / private hospitals or visit Nursing homes.
