Located at Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, Shobhit University has been declared a deemed university as per section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The University aims to create a conducive, academic environment to facilitate integration of the younger generation with educational means to transform their world. It is also included in the list of Universities maintained by the International Association of Universities (IAU).
Educational Streams
Shobhit University offers professional courses at under-graduate, post-graduate and PhD levels to the Indian and international students. It is also engaged in research activities on a number of issues relevant to industries and global community at large.
The University offers B Tech in eight disciplines and the aspiring candidates need to do Higher Secondary or 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science as optional subjects to get entry. IIT-JEE or AIEEE qualified candidates are given preference.
Postgraduate degree (MTech) is offered in 7 streams. For admission, one needs to have a technical degree BE/BTech with atleast 55% marks. Masters courses in Business Administration (MBA) and Computer Application (MCA) are also offered by the University.
In addition to all these courses Shobhit University offers a five years integrated dual degree course that enables the student to acquire a BTech and MTech degree at the completion of the programme. Admission requires 60% or above marks scored in 10+2 with science stream.

History
Shobhit University began its educational journey in the year 1989, under the aegis of the NICE Society. It was founded by an eminent agriculturist and social worker, Babu Vijendra Kumar Ji. On 8th November 2006, Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, was granted Deemed-to-be University status under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act. The Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development issued a Notification declaring it as a Deemed University to acknowledge the quality human resource created by the Institute in emerging areas.
