Special Class Railways Apprentices (SCRA) exam is a job entrance test conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The entrance test is conducted for the recruitment of probationary railway officials in mechanical department of Indian Railways. A candidate appearing for final academic exam or if the result of qualifying exam is awaited, is considered eligible to apply for the recruitment exam. It is one of the competitive recruitment exams, which is tough to crack. Candidates have to qualify a written exam and a personality test.
