Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA)exam is a job entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The test is for recruiting the trainee railway officials, who are supposed to look after the mechanical department of the Indian Railways. SCRA exam is conducted at various test centers throughout the country and many candidates attempt the test for recruitment in the railways. For the purpose, candidates have to qualify a written test and interview round, both conducted by the Commission. Only selected candidates, (who successfully have qualified in the written exam), are called for the interview, which happens to be a personality test.
SCRA exam interview is aimed at judging the personality of the candidates, who have qualifying in the written test. By qualifying in this personality test, candidates prove themselves suitable for the job of railway officials. It is not always a question-answer session, it may vary. The Board members or the selection committee does not have any particular format, as interviewer/ board of members may opt various ways to judge various candidates. Candidates attending the interview must have good communication skills, self-confidence and good knowledge base. Systematic preparation is needed for this round as well.
