Bank clerk/clerical exam is among the most competitive job entrance examinations. All the nationalized banks are entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the exam in order to select deserving candidates for various clerical posts. The test examines the candidate’s abilities to get employed into various branches of nationalized banks located across the nation. The bank clerk jobs include Clerk, Typist (English), Steno (English), Agricultural Clerks, Steno (Hindi), Typist (English and Hindi), Steno (English and Hindi), Clerk-cum-Cashier, Clerk-cum-Godown Keeper, Data Entry Operators and Telephone Operators jobs. The nationalized banks conduct their own bank clerical entrance exam, to fill the vacant clerical posts.

In order to appear for bank clerk exam, the candidates are required to register themselves. Each bank has its own registration procedure. In general, banks prefer candidates to apply online through their official websites. Some banks even do not accept application forms through any other means. In order to apply online, the applicants should have their valid personal e-mail ID. If they do not have, then they are required to create one prior applying online. The e-mail ID should remain active during the recruitment project. The ID can be used by banks in order to communicate to the candidates. They can send call letters for written test, interview and other important documents through the registered e-mail ID. Therefore, it advised not to disclose the ID with any other person.  
 
After this, the candidates have to click on the recruitment link and proceed to fee payment challan section. The general procedure to pay the challan is to take a print out of that page, fill the payment challan in block letters in legible handwriting and pay the fee in cash to the nearest branch or the specified branch of that particular bank. Do not forget to take the fee payment challan with you. Generally, the fee is non-refundable. Relaxation in fees is there for candidates belonging to reserved category. At times, the fee can be paid online through credit card or debit card. Carefully obtain the applicant’s copy of the fee payment challan. The candidates are required to keep the original counterfoil of the fee payment challan and its 3 photocopies along with them as it can be later asked to submit.
