Shri Baba Mastnath Engineering College, located in the sprawling area of 25 acres of land in Rohtak district of Haryana, was founded in 1997. The college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, to conduct various full-time undergraduate technical programs. The applicants must passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with a pass in English. In case of SC/ST candidate, only pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient. Students, with a three-year diploma from Haryana State Technical Education Board with 50% aggregate marks in all semesters, are also eligible.

Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in CEET (Haryana Common Entrance Examination Test) for 50% of the seats. Rest of the
50% seats are reserved- for Nath Minority, which are filled on the basis of CEET scores and under the NRI and Industrial Sponsored category. These seats are filled on the basis of the candidate’s marks in the qualifying exam.
