SDM College of Engineering & Technology is located in Dharwad, Karnataka. Incepted in 1979, the college has gained affiliation from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Undergraduate:
Candidates should have passed in 10 + 2 Higher Secondary Examination or Equivalent Examination with a minimum aggregate score of 45% marks in Physics & Mathematics and either of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology. English should be one of the languages of study. For SC / ST candidates, criterion of marks has been lowered to 40%.
Post Graduate:
Applicants require a BE / B Tech degree in the relevant disciplines.

45% in the institute are filled through the Common Entrance Test (CET) held by the Government of Karnataka. 35% are filled through COMED-K Quota. Remaining 20% seats are kept aside as Management Quota. For admission through these seats, Merit and Performance in Test / Interview by the Institution is the criterion.

Candidates with GATE score are granted admission. The students who have not qualified GATE must have appeared in PGCET.
