Located in a wide-spread area of 25 acres of land at Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Sarabhai Institute of Science & Technology has been named after Vikram Sarabhai, who initiated Space Science & technology in India. It is an autonomous institution started by Space Engineers Welfare Society. The college is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology. Sarabhai Institute of Science & Technology has gained the approval of Government of Kerala and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to conduct bachelor’s level engineering programmes in various disciplines.
