Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology, more often called RIET, is one of the prominent institutes in northern part of India. The college is located in Phagwara, in the heart of the Doeba region of Punjab. All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Punjab have given their approval to RIET, to conduct technical courses at various disciplines. In the present time, the institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the field of engineering as well as Masters' degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology is a self-financed private institute, managed by Ramgarhia Educational Council (REC). A dozen of schools and colleges have been managed by REC, which is in the field of higher education since 1929. Almost all the educational institutions managed by REC have made their presence felt in India, and Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology is no exception.

Admissions are done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) for state quota and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for All India candidates. Management seats are also filled according to the merit.

Post Graduate:
Admission to Masters of Business Administration is done through the Entrance Test, MET, conducted by Punjab Technical University, PTU, Jalandhar.
