Malnad College of Engineering (MCE) Hassan, which was set up in 1960, is a reputed institution of technical education in the state of Karnataka. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, Malnad College of Engineering is the joint venture of the Government of India, Government of Karnataka and Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates need to have passed Intermediate (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as subjects with minimum 50% marks, from a recognized Board.
Post Graduate:
MTech
Applicants need BE/BTech with 50% marks in the relevant disciplines.
MCA
Candidates must have any degree with at least 50% marks with Maths/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Program/Computer Applications/Business Maths/Business Statistics as one of the optional or elective at degree level.

Enrolments are done through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Department for Technical Education in Karnataka. A few seats are also filled under Management Quota.

Candidates for the M.Tech programmes must have a valid GATE score. If GATE candidates are insufficient, some seats are given to the sponsored candidates.
