Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College of Engineering & Polytechnic is located in Satara, Maharashtra. It was established in 1983 under the management of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in Maharashtra. The college is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi.
Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College of Engineering and Polytechnic conducts undergraduate level programme in various branches of engineering, that is, Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). It is a four-year full time programme, which is offered at par with the rules and regulations of the University. The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune or its equivalent examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects securing 50% (45% for Maharashtrian Students) marks in the PCM group.

Admissions are done through MH-CET conducted by directorate of technical education, Govt. of Maharashtra. Number of seats allotted to different test (AIEEE / CET) qualifiers separately admitting 15% seats through AIEEE and 65% by MH-CET. 20% seats are filled under management quota by the institute itself.
