Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT) Sultanpur, a government technical institute in Uttar Pradesh. It is a leading engineering and technology college in the state. KNIT Sultanpur was established in 1976. It is affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University, UPTU, Lucknow and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi.
The college was set up by Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust in 1976. However, it was taken up by the UP Government in 1979. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Applicants should have passed Intermediate or equivalent (10+2) examination securing minimum 50% marks in science subjects from any recognized Board / University. For direct admission to second year (lateral entry), a candidate must be diploma holder acquiring 60% marks in aggregate or B Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects obtaining 60% marks in total.
Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech / PG / Postgraduate: Graduation in similar discipline is mandatory.
MCA: Candidates must have passed three years degree course from any recognized university with Mathematics at 10+2 level or bachelor degree level.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Candidates from the state of UP have to qualify UPSEE 2009 and are admitted under state quota. Candidates from outside of UP have to appear in All India Engineering Entrance Exam, AIEEE, and admitted according to the merit in entrance exam and qualifying examination.

Post Graduate:
M Tech / ME / PG / Postgraduate: Admissions are held through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score. Admission to the part-time M Tech courses is made on the basis of merit of a candidate in a written test/interview conducted by the concerned department.
MCA: Admission is held under UPMCAT of the corresponding year.
