JSS Academy of Technical Education is an educational institution for higher education in the field of engineering. Located in Bangalore, the college was established in 1997, under the management of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The Trust is a registered central body, started by the 23rd pontiff of Suttur Mutt, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara (JSS) Mahavidyapeetha, in 1954. JSS Academy of Technical Education is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
JSS Academy of Technical Education Bangalore is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and the courses offered by it are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Apart from offering undergraduate level education in six branches of engineering, JSS Academy of Technical Education also conducts a course that leads to Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). All the basic amenities are available in the college’s campus.

Applicant is required to have passed in (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and with 45% (40% for reserved category) of aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
Candidates need to have a technical degree BE/B Tech from VTU or equivalent in the relevant discipline to secure admission.
MBA
Admission to MBA courses is open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.

Undergraduate:
All admissions are done through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Government of Karnataka or COMED-K entrance as applicable. 50% of the seats are filled through CET, 25% of the seats through COMEDK and 25% of the seats are reserved for NRI/Management.

Post Graduate:
M Tech
M Tech admissions are made through Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by VTU. GATE candidates with valid GATE score are given preference for admission however they are exempted from appearing for the written test.
MBA
Applicants need to appear for entrance test PGCET or K-MAT. 50% of the seats are filled through PGCET and 50% of the seats are filled through KMAT.
