Government College of Engineering is located in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. Established in 1996, it is the only government institute affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Government of Maharashtra provides funds to the institution. Currently, the college is offering technical courses in four branches of engineering, at undergraduate level. In 2007, the college started offering CSE as well.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, has given the approval to Government College of Engineering Chandrapur, to conduct the technical courses. The institute is under Director of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai. It aims to cater to the needs of the young aspirants and promises to produce competent engineers, year by year.Government College of Engineering Chandrapur offers all the basic amenities required for the smooth conduct of the courses.
