Dattajirao Kadam Techology Education Society's Textile & Engineering Institute was incepted in 1982 in Kolhapur in Maharashtra. It imparts technical education in various branches of engineering, at various degree levels. The three-year diploma programme offered by the institute is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. Besides, all under graduate and post graduate programmes are affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur.
D.K.T.E Society's Textile & Engineering Institute has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and from Director of Technical Education, Mumbai. Few of it’s under graduate programmes along with diploma in Textile Manufactures have got the accreditation status. Over the years, the institute has produced numerous skilled technocrats at different levels.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. Relaxation of 5% is there for reserved category candidates.
The candidates having three years of diploma in Engineering/Technology with second division are also eligible.
Diploma:
The applicants should have passed secondary examination from Maharashtra state board or its equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks. The applicants, who belong to backward class of Maharashtra state, are given exemption of 5% in minimum percentile required. The candidates should have studied English, General Science or Physics & Chemistry and Mathematics or Algebra & Geometry subjects at 10+2 level.
Post Graduate:
ME / M. Tech
The candidates should have a BE/B. Tech degree in relevant field with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
MBA
The applicant should possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline, from a recognized university.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in Maharashtra CET (MHT-CET)/All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Entrance Test: MHT CET, AIEEE Exam
Post Graduate:
ME / M. Tech
Admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or entrance test conducted by the college, followed by interview.
MBA
Selection is done on the basis of the candidate performance in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, followed by group discussion and personal interview. Admission against All India seats are done on the basis of CAT/JMET/MAT/ATMA/XAT scores of the applicant.
