Bhadrak Institute of Engineering and Technology, commonly referred to as BIET, is a premier institute for higher education in Orissa. Located in Bhadrak, BIET is a private college that engineering offers courses, which have gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Presently, BIET Bhadrak is counted as one of the best engineering institutions in Orissa. The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela.
Bhadrak Institute of Engineering & Technology was incepted as a Diploma institute, in 1982. The college started offering its degree programme in 1997. It added Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) to its list of courses offered, in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Currently, the college is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Candidates must be 10+2 passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, from any recognized Board.
Post Graduate:
MCA
Any graduate having passed Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or in +3 level is eligible.
MBA
Applicants must have a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.

All the candidates are selected through Common Entrance Test (CET) and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). The seats under management quota are filled by the relevant council against the granted percentage of the total seats.
