Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering & Technology is a well known college in Punjab, for higher education in technical courses. The college, located in Sangrur, was established in 2002. It is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The college offers admission to courses at undergraduate level. The courses conducted by BGIET are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering & Technology Sangrur is spread over 35 acres of land. With an aim to strengthen its international presence, the college is in association with some of the prominent names at international levels, which include Wayne State University, AIT Bangkok, Indiana Wesleyan University and Pittsburg State University.

Undergraduate:
The eligible candidates should be 10+2 passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
For lateral entry, the eligible candidates must have passed diploma in Engineering from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or any recognized board/university.
Post Graduate:
The eligible candidates should have passed Bachelors degree in any discipline.

Admissions are done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET)/ All India Engineering Entrance Examination followed by counseling conducted by Punjab Technical University.
Admissions to second year of B Tech course are done on the merit basis Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET).

Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination.
