Students must have passed in PCU II or (10+2) or any other equivalent examination in science stream with English as one of the subjects and with 45% (40% for reserved category) of aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology.

Admissions are conducted through written entrance test KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) or COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) or AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) conducted every year by various test agencies.
