Alpha College of Engineering came into being in 2001 under the guidance and sponsorship of Alfa Educational Society. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Located in a wide-spread area of 32 acres of land at Allagadda in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh, the college conducts under graduate level courses in various branches of engineering. In 2006, ISO 9000:2000 certification was awarded to Alpha College of Engineering. In order to produce proficient engineers, the college focuses on providing comprehensive education & training to the aspirants. It also concentrates on providing placement assistance to aspiring engineers.

Minimum qualification required for admission in B Tech is Intermediate from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study.

Admissions in the college for 75% seats, filled by the convener are based on the candidate’s performance in state conducted Common entrance Test-EAMCET. 25 % seats reserved for Management Quota can be filled by the candidates with minimum 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 level, as well.
