Radio-Diagnosis is a branch of medical science, which focuses on the use of radiation, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance as diagnostic, therapeutic, and research tools in medicinal practices. It is related to anatomy, pathology, physiology, and interventional procedures. MD in Radio-Diagnosis is a three-year post graduation course and the MBBS degree holders from a recognized University thereto by Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council are eligible for radio-diagnosis course.
The candidates to MD (Radio Diagnosis) course are selected on the basis of merit in the entrance examination conducted by some authorized body (university or Board), to get an admission in the course. After specializing in Radio-diagnosis, one can join any Radiological Sciences Laboratory or get employed in hospital settings, academic/educational institutions, etc. They even can do private practices of medical imaging for genitourinary, biliary, gastrointestinal, central nervous system, and other organs like brain, head and neck, through the use of x-ray, MRI, CT, and angiography.
