Bachelor of Laws, popularly known as LLB, is a three-year undergraduate course that can be pursued only by graduates. Graduates from any field can opt for the course, which is offered in law colleges and universities across India. Students during this course are taught about Indian Penal Code (IPC) and various aspects of law. At the end of the curriculum, they are given the choice of choosing civil or criminal law stream. LLB is qualifying degree for the practice of legal profession in India.
After successfully completing three years of LLB course, one can get a license to practice as a lawyer in any court in India and can give legal advice.
