Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University was established under Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University Act, passed by the Government of Sikkim, in the year 2008. The university was set by ‘Vinayaka Missions', Salem, Tamil Nadu, which is an internationally applauded educational institution. The functioning of the university started in the year 2008, with the vision of ensuring academic excellence. The university is recognized by university grant commission (UGC). Also, the distance education programmes are approved by distance education council.
Educational Streams
Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University offers course in pharmacy at diploma and bachelor level. It also offers Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Efforts are being made by the university, to provide education in other disciplines as well. It is also planning to provide courses though the distance education programme.

Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University promises to provide quality infrastructure and education.
