Suresh Gyan Vihar University

Suresh Gyan Vihar University is an accumulation of different educational schools located on the outskirts of Jaipur. Gyanvihar covers the entire gamut of formal education from Kindergarten to PhD that includes Higher Secondary schools and several other institutions running under its banner. The University has emerged as a leading educational institute within a short span of ten years. The University hosts a dynamic infrastructure, which is amongst the biggest educational infrastructures of the state.

 

Gyan Vihar University Jaipur has established educational schools in several disciplines that offer courses up to PhD level. The University caters to the needs of modern day science and industry. The curriculum lays stress on innovative and original thinking with mandatory research work. Gyan Vihar University offers Post Graduate degree programs in advanced sciences like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry Centre for Air & Water Modalling (CAWM) functions as a research centre. It follows investigative studies of the problems related to air and water pollution that affect the health of the general populace. Modification is carried out every year in the syllabi to update as per the ever-changing needs of the industry and business as well as the scientific community.

 

Gyan Vihar Universe provides residential facilities for the boys and girls studying at the University. It has established separate hostels for girls and boys within the campus with attached mess. The hostels are equipped with gymnasium, and provide other facilities like canteen, STD / ISD pay phones, courier service, a bookstore for all kinds of textbooks and stationery and Postal facilities. 

Round the clock healthcare facilities are available at campus health centre and hostels. It has computerized independent libraries in all its colleges, well stocked with elaborate collection of textbooks and up-to-date reference material, journals, magazines. In-campus activities like cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, track field, athletics and indoor games are also available for all round davelopemant of the students.

 

The foundation stone of Gyanvihar was laid by Acharya Shree Purushottam Uttam on 19 February 1994. On 26 March 2008, the Rajasthan State Assembly unanimously passed a bill declaring Suresh Gyan Vihar University as the first Research and development based university of the Jaipur.  Late Mr Suresh Sharma was a major contributor behind establishing the university.
